Lemon Chiffon

Happy Wednesday! It has been a crazy but fun summer thus far. I can't believe it is already June, and I am on week four of my internship.

I like wearing outfits that can be easily dressed up for work, and can be minimized for going out after. Lately I have been meeting up with friends right after my internship, so I try to wear pieces that are versatile and can easily be transformed from day to night by putting on a pair of jeans or changing up the accessories.

My top is a lemon chiffon blouse that I purchased from Marshalls. Yellow is my favorite color, and it works well for summer. My white blazer is Cynthia Rowley.

This gradient statement necklace is from the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale. I caved and got it because I have no self control and couldn't resist having another pretty necklace in my collection.

These gold loafers are from Urban Outfitters. These loafers tie together the warm hues throughout the outfit and add a little extra shine.

I purchased this color blocked bag from DSW last year and it is by the Jessica Simpson brand. I use this tote for my internship because it carries my lunch and water bottle, plus pens and other miscellaneous items that I take with me. Plus, I love that it is yellow.

I hope you all are having a great week. I have been obsessing over Orange is the New Black and re-watching the first season of Girls. Between the two I realized I am happy to not be in prison, but I do wish I could be spending summer in New York City.

Until next time,

Pink Bicycles

It is good to be back to blogging! I just completed my first week back at work and enjoyed my first 3 day weekend. After spending Memorial Day outside, it was hard to go back to work on Tuesday.  I wore this outfit this past Friday, where we have "casual" jean Fridays at the office.

I love anything with a whimsical pattern, and when I saw this neon pink bicycle button down I fell in love. I saw the color and knew that it would be a go-to in my closet for the summer months.

Plus, it matches the collar detailing of my tan blazer.

Pink Bicycle Shirt: Target
Blazer: Target

Watch: Kate Spade
Pave Chain Bracelet: Ann Taylor

Shoes: Keds for Kate Spade

I got these shoes on sale at the store. I like Kate Spade's Keds because the prices are comparable to the normal Ked retail price, but you can find them in fun and unique patterns.

I hope you all are enjoying the end of May, and got to spend some time outside this Memorial weekend!

Best,

Peachy Peplum

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I was lucky enough to spend my Sunday with two of my favorite ladies and get some delicious Italian food that put me in an afternoon nap-coma.

For going out, I wore one of my favorite spring peplum tops from Francesca's Collections

The peachy hue is a perfect color for spring, which is accented by a lace back detailing.

I wore one of my favorite statement necklaces overtop, also from Francesca's Collections. Surprisingly, I did not purchase both of these items at the same time. This necklace picks up the orange and pink hues from the top, and adds a cool contrast of blue.

I wore my gold Kate Spade watch and bow ring, and gold heart pinky ring which I had thrifted.

My flats are from Target and are a light patent mint with gold stud detailing on the heel. These shoes add a subtle pop of color to an outfit, and I am excited to wear them more into summer.

To top it off, I had my beige Kate Spade purse which is a reliable neutral piece I like to pair with almost any outfit.

I hope you had a great time with the ladies in your life this past weekend! I know I would be lost without my Mom, and it is always fun to spend time with her.

Love Always,

A Pop of Lime

I am happy to say that I am DONE with finals! School has taken up a big chunk of my time lately, but I am happy to come back to blogging more often and enjoying summer break.

I can't believe how quickly my third year at college went and that I am going to be headed into my senior year. Time flies, and it has been a great year full of new experiences that I am so lucky to have had!

For my outfit, I mixed and matched different patterns in navy blue and accented the look with a pop of lime green in my necklace. Layering contrasting patterns within the same color family allows you to mix and match without the outfit looking busy.

Striped Shirt and Jeans: Old Navy
Cardigan: Target

Necklace: Target

Boat Shoes: Sperry

I hope you are enjoying the beginning of May, and I can't wait to share more outfits with you. For now,  I have to unpack my dorm room back into my house-- and I am pretty sure I will need another closet for all my stuff.

Until next time,

Zebra Scarf

Hello! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend.

I love having a bold statement in an outfit. A scarf is a great way to make what you're wearing pop and add textural and colorful interest.

When in doubt, try pairing colors that contrast each other to add visual appeal to what you're wearing (I try to avoid green and purple though, in fear that I may look like Barney).

My royal blue dress is from OldNavy and I paired it with a laid back denim jacket from Gap.

My yellow zebra scarf is from Stein Mart, but I originally saw it on Karmaloop.com. I love the unique pattern of the zebras-- when I saw it I knew I had to have it!

Combat Boots: Steve Madden

Watch: Kate Spade

My mirrored aviators are from Target, and will be a great accessory for the summer.

I am excited for some (finally) warmer weather! I only have a few more weeks of school left until my summer break finally begins. I will try to post a few more times until then, but once summer is here I will have a lot more time to blog!

Until next time,

What I Have Been Up To...

Hello! I hope you are doing well and enjoying this Spring weather.

I have been extremely busy lately, and this has been evident through my lack of posts. I am eager to get back to posting more frequently, but right now class has taken priority. Being the end of the semester I have been swarmed with tests, homework, projects, meetings, and other events. I also have been participating in many other activities outside of school work with my sorority and on campus.

I recently received an internship with Sherwin-Williams for this summer, and I am very excited to be back there. I also received a position as a Summer Orientation Leader at my school, and I can't wait to be a part of the program that welcomes the new students. I am excited for summer, but am feeling bitter sweet about entering my senior year in the fall.

Next week my sorority has their formal, and my best friend comes home from Europe. After that, we have our last few days of classes before finals. Right now, I am trying to enjoy these last few weeks of the semester on a high note and spend as much time with friends as possible. I am looking forward to posting more often after Easter, and being more active in pursuing blogging over the summer.

Thank you to everyone who has been an active follower of my blog. I appreciate your support and encouragement and I am looking forward to writing more soon!

Best,

White Leather & Floral

Hello! It has been an incredibly busy week again, but I am happy to be able to post! We have been lucky to have some warm weather and sunshine.... so hopefully spring is coming.

I purchased this dress in Brooklyn at the Artist and Fleas flea market when I was in New York over labor day weekend. I love pieces that are one-of-a-kind, and I instantly fell in love with this colorful floral pattern by the brand Cora NY

I wore my white leather and tweed jacket by Bagatelle, which I purchased from TJ Maxx. This motorcycle jacket is a great piece for Spring, and I love the feminine tweed detailing contrasted with the leather sleeves.

Nude Heels: Guess

Pave Link Bracelet: Ann Taylor

Purse: Francesca's Collections

I hope you all are enjoying the beginning of April! I am excited to finally have my plans for the summer  figured out, and am ready to enjoy the rest of the spring semester festivities!

Best,
