Khaki Coat and Red Details

It is crazy to think that this is my LAST week of classes! College flies by too quickly, and I have been dealing with a bunch of emotions that range from relief, to scared, angry, to happy.

The weather has been on and off with being warm, so I have embraced layering.

My coat is from Olive & Oak which I purchased from Marshall's.

I usually try dressing up for class, and stylish outerwear over a flowy top is one of my go-to's for being comfortable.

The red detail on the coat zipper picks up the red in this shirt that I got from Nordstrom Rack.  I wore my green corduroy pants to also pick up the details in the shirt pattern.

For accessories, I wore my tassel necklace from TJ Maxx.

I got this little Kate Spade cross body bag in red to add a pop of color to my outfit. I purchased this purse for when I only need to carry a few things with me. I don't have a wide variety of purse colors, so I wanted to mix it up by buying something bright!

These gold loafers are from Urban Outfitters, and some of my favorite flats.

I hope you are enjoying the end of April! What are some of your favorite items you've been wearing this spring?

Anthropologie Dress for Formal

I am in Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at my university, and this past weekend was our spring formal. It is a dance that we have annually in the spring where we dress up, invite dates, and have a good time all together.

Being my senior year (and my last formal :( ) and wanted to wear something special. I absolutely love this dress from Anthropologie, and the colorful mint and green fabric that fits well for spring.

This dress was from the Lauren Conrad's Paper Crown collection for Anthropologie that was on sale earlier this year. I feel pretty proud that I scored this for $29, when it was originally $290. I love shopping the sales, and I knew I would be able to save this for a dressier occasion.

My gem necklace is from Nordstrom Rack. I just happened to have it in my collection, and the colors matched perfectly with the dress.

I wore a light pink lip color from Clinique. The shade is "Budding Blossom" in their moisturizing Chubby Stick applicator. You can check it out by clicking here!

I finished off my look by wearing some nude heels from Clarks

I had a great time at my senior formal this past Friday, and I am definitely lucky to have had such amazing college experiences with my sorority.

Here are some pictures before and during the event:

I only have a few more weeks of school, then I will be a college graduate! How crazy? Look forward to more posts in the next few weeks!

Neon and Pearl Details on a Striped Button Down

The other day the temperatures were in the 80's! I was going out to lunch with my Mom and decided to wear some inexpensive and casual finds with a few dressier pieces.

I am a huge fan of J. Crew popover shirts, and I found a very similar style at JC Penny for $15! With a 10 dollar-off coupon, I was able to snag this shirt for $5. It is a really thick, high quality, blue and white striped fabric, which impressed me for being at a lower price point. I also love the bright neon embroidery on the front of the shirt, making it perfect for summer.

I wore this pearl bubble necklace to dress up the look. I found this J. Crew inspired piece from Walmart for only $7! I usually never go to Walmart, but I just happened to be looking for an air mattress, and just happened to check out the jewelry aisle... One thing lead to another, and... I found this inexpensive necklace that will be practical for so many different outfits!

I wore my gold Michael Kors watch, and this anchor charm bangle with enamel stripes. I got this bracelet for Easter, and I love the color it adds to my spring wardrobe.

To pull in some of the neon details and add a splash of color, I wore these Prabal Gurung heels.

I hope you are enjoying the weather and breaking out some of your spring clothing! What are you excited to start wearing once it heats up?

To prepare for summer, I have been doing some online shopping and loving these colorful Kate Spade new arrivals. It is hard to pick favorites, but here are some of the items I am lusting over in the new collection.

This collection is the perfect combination of nautical, and feminine. Which pieces are your favorite?
